Lancaster and Morecambe Bay Chinese Community Association (LMBCCA) was established in June 2004. It was formed in order promote Chinese culture and heritage. It also aims to represent and provide a voice for the Chinese people at a local, regional and national level.
Since LMBCCA was founded, it has collaborated with and raised funds for various charity organisations such as CancerCare, NSPCC, Red Cross, Age Concern and HelpDirect.
- LMBCCA is apolitical and it embraces diversity without distinction of gender and sexual orientation, religious beliefs, race and ethnicity. It helps to promote and advance the education of Chinese history, art, culture and traditions to the public.
- It aims to provide or assist in provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare and recreation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for people.
- To promote good relationships among the local Chinese residents and wider community.
